Olkiloriti Site Profile
Water at Olkiloriti came from an unprotected spring and a community borehole that yielded salty water unsuitable for drinking. Open defecation was widely practiced as none of the households across the targeted villages had a toilet. The community had not received any sensitization on the dangers of open defecation and the importance of proper sanitation and hygiene practices. Open defecation was also observable in the primary school despite having a few toilet facilities further highlighting the need for behavior change communication in the school and across the villages
