Olomanira Site Profile

Image

Olomanira relied on water pans that dried up during dry seasons and were heavily used by livestock hence contamination. The soil structure in the area proved to be a challenge for ground water exploration with large deposits oc clay soil making it difficult to extract water. Due to proximity to villages that had been reached with sanitation interventions in a previous project phase, the sanitation situation was not too bad with quite a number of households already having knowledge on the importance of safe sanitation and hygiene.
